Amid this cold gray January morning, abuzz with the humming of computers, chatter about the weekend, ring of phones, beginnings of the work day, etc...I hear it. Soft at first, faint as a fragile flower stem in a strong howling winter wind...but there, nonetheless.

Spring...or at least the hope of Spring... brought on the wings of a songbird...just outside my window. Chirp, chirp, tweedle. "I'm on my way. Prepare for tomorrow but don't forget to sing your song today. Even if it's cold, gray with little promise of sunshine - bring your own, create your own from within your heart and SING"

I feel for the folks who never hear that faint call of nature, who ONLY hear the buzz, chatter, ring...chaos. Noise, simply noise in the greater scheme of things. LIFE. So many see this as life, as success, as all there is...and then wake up one day having missed the spring and find themselves back in winter not knowing seasons are constantly changing, constantly renewed, constantly alive. I never want to be one of those folks. I always want to strain to hear that something that I've never heard...the song of life, of love....ALL THERE IS.

Brings to mind the Van Morrison song "You make me feel so free" - Ah, Yeah!
